Badr City hasn’t got its fair share of media attention as it was almost neglected since it was established in 1984, which made it pretty disregarded up till 2014.
The city then got much more attention from both the government and the public since the launch of the New Administrative Capital, and also more after adding a new entrance connected to the Cairo- Ismailia Desert Road alongside the first one on the Suez Rd.
Due to these expansions, the city council decided to extend the city’s borders, stretching it to almost double its original size; it used to be 18.554 thousand feddans big, then 33 thousand feddans of new residential projects were added. Planned to house one million residents, Badr City is marked the residential castle of Egypt.
